eco BXLtalk 2025
We would like to invite you to the eco BXLtalk 2025: AI vs. GDPR: How to ensure a futureproof GDPR enabling AI in the EU? – co-hosted by SAP. The event will take place on Wednesday, 4 June from 5.30pm in Brussels. Please find the agenda below.
The rise of artificial intelligence in Europe comes with a key challenge - the current GDPR framework versus new technologies and digital business models, due to the fragmentation and legal uncertainty companies face.
The recent EDPB Opinion on AI and the underlying process illustrate the malfunctioning of the current GDPR framework in addressing key questions and providing for the legal certainty required to innovate and invest in AI and innovative technologies and business models.
Important considerations on how to train and deploy AI models in accordance with the GDPR continue to lack clarity and certainty urgently required.
This event invites experts from the tech industry, European data protection authorities, and policymakers to come together and explore solutions for, on the one hand, building privacy-friendly AI and, on the other hand, shaping a more innovation friendly and future proof data protection framework. The goal is to find ways for companies to design competitive AI systems using leading LLMs, that are both innovative and compliant, working towards a future framework where innovative technologies and privacy are no antagonists but may go hand in hand.
