Meet Luxembourgs Internet & Data Centre Industry
Luxembourg, November 5, 2013 – LU-CIX (LUxembourg Commercial Internet eXchange) is lifting the veil on the agenda of the “2013 LU-CIX End OF the year event” that will be held onthe afternoon of the 22nd of November at the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg.
This event will again constitute a milestone in Luxembourg’s ICT agenda as it will see a high density of quality keynotes given by top notch industry professionals, followed by a set of pathbreaking announcements which will create more than a buzz in the market.
Doors will open at 1:30pm. The welcome speech given by Frédérique Ulrich, Business Development Manager at LU-CIX will be followed by a series of non-mainstream pitches by a classyindustry cast: Dirk Aertgeerts (Arbor Networks), Eric Hausman (Dimension Data), Patrice Duffort (Arista Networks), Laurent Probst (PwC’s Accelerator),Christophe Bianco (Excellium Services), Jean-David Lehmann-Charley (Compass Eos), Gary Kneip (DATA4) and Xavier Buck (Datacenter Luxembourg) will introduce the tothe strategic outlook on each of their different but interrelated businesses.
Around 4:00pm, the floor will be taken by Marco Houwen, President of LU-CIX for a quick review of the past 5 years of growing success for LU-CIX and an outlook on noticeable changes andchallenges ahead.
International first class keynote speakers will close the presentations and pitching part of the afternoon: Simon Mason, Head of Security Solutions EMEA at Verizon, will share his viewson latest trends and mechanisms on how to align cloud and data center security in “bite-size” to the underlying business He will be followed by Simon Waller, Head of EMEA Sales at NTT, whowill share tips and tricks on how NTT stays clear of panicking in case of DDoS for a Tier 1 network.
As a reminiscence of the two preceding gaming-related LU-CIX events, a prize draw will close the official part of the afternoon. At stake is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, kindly sponsored by Tango.
