Reawakening Digital Trade - Part II: The Future of the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework
eco – Association of the Internet Industry & i2Coalition – Internet Infrastructure Coalition
invite you to frame the future of transatlantic data flows and privacy with an upcoming event
On December 6, 2022, at 8:30 AM CET, key individuals in government, industry, and academia will convene in Brussels, to discuss the legal framework that could make or break the Internet economy on both sides of the Atlantic. We will discuss the new framework from the European perspective and its impact on companies based in the European Union with a transatlantic business model.
The leading associations of the Internet Industry in the European Union and the United States, the i2Coalition and eco will host this second roundtable in a two-part Transatlantic Dialogue series, bringing together senior officials from the European Commission, along with data protection experts, Internet industry leaders, partner associations, and diverse civil society voices. You will learn about the latest developments in the implementation of the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework and have opportunities to engage with key policymakers, industry experts, and other diverse voices.
The first roundtable discussion took place on 6 October 2022 in Washington, D.C. with a distinguished panel including Ruth Berry, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Information and Communications Policy, Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy at the U.S Department of State and representatives of leading tech companies in the U.S.
